可以画廊将于2020年8月8日荣幸推出新空间开放后的第二次展览，本次展览展示了刘川近两年（2019-2020）共50余件绘画作品。

在这些作品中，既有他早先绘画中展现出的对于漫画性叙事结构的兴趣的延伸，又有来自于对当下的具体问题与个体生活处境的反思。在面貌上，除了延续早先绘画中严谨具体的人物造型方式之外，一些轮廓模糊，造型放松的形象也出现在最近的绘画作品里。他画面中常常出现符号化的形象，如桃心形状，由极简的几何形构成的机器人，甚至有些人物形象与他本人非常相似，也有一些挪用自漫画和电影情节的人物形象和叙事关系。这些不同的形象配合着独特的画面处理方式，共同构成了他绘画语言中的不同词句。

在单一画面的处理上，这批作品里既有保持了一种克制的态度，在人物边界的处理上，反复修正的作品，又有一些不假思索，一蹴而就的形象。流淌的背景与杂乱的笔触被无拘无束地使用，抽象性的线条穿插于其中，共同形成了画面的内在张力与秩序感。

This exhibition displays more than 50 paintings by Liu Chuan in the past two years (2019-2020). In these works, there is not only an extension of his interest in the comic narrative structure shown in his earlier paintings, but also a reflection on current specific issues and individual life situations. In terms of appearance, in addition to continuation of the rigorous and specific character modeling methods in the earlier paintings, some images with fuzzy outlines and relaxed shapes have also appeared in recent paintings. Symbolized images often appear in his paintings, such as a heart shape, a robot composed of minimal geometric shapes, and even some characters are very similar to him, and there are also some characters and narrative relationships that are appropriated from comics and movie plots. These different images combined with the unique picture processing methods together constitute different words and sentences in his painting language. In the handling of a single picture, these works have maintained a restrained attitude, in the handling of character boundaries, works that have been repeatedly revised, and there are some images that are achieved without thinking and overnight. The flowing background and messy brushstrokes are used unrestrainedly, with abstract lines interspersed in them, forming the inner tension and sense of order of the painting.

关于艺术家

刘川，1991年生于吉林，2013年毕业于鲁迅美术学院 学士学位，2018年毕业于中央美术学院 硕士学位。

Liu Chuan, born in Jilin in 1991, graduated from Luxun Academy of Fine Arts with a bachelor's degree in 2013, and graduated with a master's degree from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2018.
